Eclectic mix of modern classical and other pieces by this string quartet so well known even I've heard of them (and have a couple of their albums). Some of the tracks in this "sampler" album feature voices and other instruments, including the well known and beautiful "Adagio" by Samuel Barber (as heard in a number of movies and TV shows) and an unexpected, verging-on-the-cute Elvis tribute "Elvis Everywhere". If I knew anything about rock'n'roll beyond the embarrassingly barest essentials, I'd probably appreciate the Hendrix number ("Purple Haze") more.
